Hello, my greetings, what an excellent video, thank you for all your videos that are really excellent and of great help to everyone. I have a Honda TB 130 XP but it does not stop throwing white smoke and some oil from the exhaust. It has power so I do not rule out that it is the rings, but I have heard that it could be the poorly calibrated carburetor that produces smoke on my lawnmower, meaning that the needle is too high and the gasoline goes to the crankcases making the oil rise. Question: could this be true? I do not know what to do to repair this machine. Could you explain to me that I should do to end this nightmare please.

An excellent video and one I’ve been looking for. I have a Honda engine that will need to have the carburetor cleaned. I think yours is the only one in which you show the sequence of putting on the gaskets during reassembly. If you could review the attachment of the governor spring and the choke or accelerator wire I would be grateful. Also a review of the gasket sequence would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I got so VERY frustrated trying to keep all those parts lined up when I went to put mine back together I came up with a perfect solution. I got rid of the bolts an used 2 pieces of 6 x 1mm threaded rod and screwed that into the cylinder and then just slipped on the pieces one by one and used nylok nuts to hold the aircleaner in place. Infinitely easier since everything remained perfectly aligned.

What size are the bolts? I obtained this pressure washer without the carb, or the 2 plastic pieces to the enclosure. I order a kit from Amazon but it did not include the bolts. I’m wishing I can just go to Ace Hardware & get the bolts off the fastener isle.

I desperately need help I have a Honda gcv 160 that is surging and will only run fully choked. I have replaced most of the fuel system with OEM parts. It has a new air box, air filter, carb, all gaskets but the plastic one, and new fuel lines. I even went through the brand new carb and gave it a bath in the ultrasonic for good measure. What could I be missing?

Thanks for the video, it's great. I spent a good part of my time yesterday fighting with the clip. I ended up locking the "out of sight part" with vice grips, wedging a bunch of blocks behind it, taping a 5/16 nut to the clip then sliding a piece of ~1/4 " ID steel tubing with a slot cut into it to let the cable pass through over the whole affair and driving it into place. I've had the cable (Honda part on. 54510-VE2-305) hanging in a shed for a few years. When the cable first broke I couldn't wait for the part to get in, so I jury rigged a cable clamp with some 10 speed bicycle parts. It worked until this spring when the drive started slipping.

Im having problems reassembling the choke i feel like the L shaped metal piece does not fit anywhere. Help a clueless girl mow the lawn! Lol

Just helped me solve my Saturday issue, somehow the choke got stuck in an odd position and after removing to clean carb n try to figure it out I still couldn’t get it to run right. My mower is a newer version with a different choke linkage so it was confusing to see where it went, your vid showed me n helped me get it back together n running good now. Thank you!

Did you unclog the main jet by removing the head screw? If you unclog it under the screw, it'll get rid of the surging, which I noticed when you had it on high idle, the engine was surging up and down or hunting. It's better known as.

for the record, this guy has just shown the secret to solving this puzzle, re-assemble on the bolts.

stupid f'ing Honda design. Every time I have to replace a $15 carb I go through this circus. The conversation shortly after pulling the bolts loose - "ahh f****" and off to youtube I go. I suspect that the Honda factory has some jigs to make this easier or some sort of procedure. I'd like to watch the factory assemble one of these.

question:? the lever to mulch and bag is not attached to the deflector. It looks like there should be some type of spring or rod that controls the plastic deflector. I have a question. The Remington I have starts then stalls, cleaned carb 2 times making sure it was cleaned. Put it back together and have the same problem. So my question is, do you have a suggestion on how to fix it? Other then taking it to a professional. Thank you

To remove the clip without grinding or replace it, you just need push in the middle of the clip from the notch using a niddle.

On another vid the guy installed extra carb bolts with the heads cut off so he could replace them as he took the regular bolts off. The cut bolts held the rear in place while he cleaned the carb. Since I don’t have any extra carb bolts could you use a bungee cord to hold the rear in place while cleaning or replacing the carb?

Now on to my pressure washer and my second lawn mower (yes - luxury - second mower for downstairs). And home made in B.C. no less

I have a Crapsman Lt1000 riding mower. After running it 10 minutes it shut off. Ill restart it and it will fire up for 2 seconds then die. I can do this till the battery dies. Ive tried 2 different carbs from Scamazon but the same result as mentioned above. I ordered a new gas cap, hoping this will fix the problem

Thanks . What a pain getting that shroud off that connects to the bag/multch adjuster without any guidance. This was very helpful. Anyone complaint should probably not be working on anything. Mechanical.

Honda needs 5 gaskets, a throttle plate, a deflector plate, and air cleaner plate to do the job that Briggs and Stratton does with one O ring and a gasket and an air cleaner plate. Classic Japanese over engineered. Oh well they are out of the lawn mower business now aren't they.

Obviously this mower was not made with maintenance in mind. I paid a good chunk of money for this disposable mower. Thank you for posting but it looks like too much work to change a belt.
